Global Study Places Norte III Among the Largest Satellite-Detected Methane Emitters
UCLA’s STOP Methane report identified the Norte III Environmental Complex, operated by CEAMSE, as the municipal waste site with the highest observed hourly methane rate in 2025. The finding reopens the debate on landfilling, biogas and circular economy in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
